Entry · the house
del·feen ash·bee, noun, founder, Chair 01
Delphine cut hair in New York for eleven years before she came home to Tennessee and found a brick building on Monroe Street with arched windows, good north light and terrible plumbing. She fixed the plumbing.
Glossary opened in 2021 with four chairs. There are eight now, a curl specialist, an extensions room and a waitlist for Saturdays. The rule has not changed: every cut is built to look right on day four, not just on the way out the door.
“A good cut doesn't need you. It does its job while you get on with your day.”

adverb, also: what the mirror is for
Camille came in eight months past her last color, with ends that had given up. Scroll and the mirror wipes clean. Nothing here was retouched past what a good mirror does.
