02 · The stem index
Every stem that comes through the door gets pressed, labelled and filed in the flat drawers by the window. Four from the archive, and the months to ask for them.

Owen & Teo, the loft, 2025
05 · The studio
Owen grew up on a dairy farm in Litchfield County and knows exactly how early five in the morning is. Teo spent eleven years building sets for theater in New York and still lights every table like a stage.
They met at a friend's wedding in Mystic in 2014, where Owen was doing the flowers, married on the Stonington town dock in 2019, and grow about a third of what they use on two acres in North Stonington. The rest comes from small farms and the Monday auction.
"We like a flower that looks like it's about to leave the vase."
The field, North Stonington. Last dahlias before the frost.
"They did our table in Watch Hill and people were still talking about the flowers at Thanksgiving."
"Every Friday at ten, a jar of whatever is perfect. I have stopped trying to guess."
"Teo looked at the tent for four minutes and redesigned the whole night. He was right."
